Christmas is a time when you can feel the loss of a loved one more than perhaps any other time of the year. Hospice Waikato "Christmas Trees of Remembrance" appeal is a popular way for the community to remember their loved ones by writing a special message on a small heart, cross, koru or star and placing it on one of the Hospice Christmas Trees of Remembrance. The large Memory Stars will be placed on the Christmas Tree in Garden Place (final dates of where these will be available and when they can be placed on the tree are yet to be finalised - watch this space).
The money raised will help care for Waikato people with life limiting illnesses.
So when you see a Hospice Christmas Tree of Remembrance, take a moment to reflect on the things that really matter and spare a kind thought for the good work the Hospice does throughout the year.
